adam foran
PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR OF PIANO, GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS, UKULELE, MANDOLIN. Adam is a multi-instrumentalist and composer with a Bachelor's of Music degree from MUN. He has created musical scores for countless film, television, live theatre and advertising projects over the past 15 years, and has recently built a custom studio for this work. He has taught music lessons for the past 20 years, including 5 years at the former Rock City. He teaches piano, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and mandolin, and is accomplished in classical and modern styles. Click to read more about Adam.
aimee coles
DIRECTOR OF DANCE; CHOREOGRAPHER; PRIVATE DANCE INSTRUCTOR; SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER. Aimee Coles commenced her training at a young age in various forms of dance and performance and has taken a number of master classes and workshops around North America. Most recently, she spent a part of her summer at the Boston Ballet School learning teaching techniques and training in Adaptive Dance in addition to attending numerous classes at The Underground Dance Centre in Toronto. Her education has allowed her to examine and study human anatomy, physiology, movement analysis and adaptations, which has helped her in choreography development and injury prevention. Aimee joined the CFPA team in January of 2020 acting as Choreographer for the 13+ classes, but has since stepped into the role of Dance Director, helping to create choreography for a variety of classes and projects. bronwyn spracklin-Reid
APPRENTICE PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR OF PIANO, VOICE, GUITAR AND UKULELE; ADMIN; COSTUME CO-ORDINATOR; STAGE MANAGER FOR SFB6. Bronwyn a student of CFPA, mentored under Courtney & Calyssa. Connor Fagan
APPRENTICE PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR OF VOICE, PIANO, DRUMS, AND UKULELE. Connor is a grade 12 student at Holy Heart, who is no stranger to the performance world. Since the age of 8, he has studied voice, acting, and several instruments with a variety of teachers. He arrived at CFPA in 2019 and has loved it ever since. He has successfully completed both AP Music Theory and IB Music courses at school, giving him an enhanced knowledge of music theory, analysis, and theory. Courtney Fowler
DIRECTOR OF VOICE & ACTING; OWNER/OPERATOR; INSTRUCTOR OF APD, ROCK BAND, & CONTEMPORARY VOCAL TECHNIQUES; PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR OF VOICE, PIANO, GUITAR, UKULELE. Courtney is the owner/operator of CFPA, and the creator of the unique Broadway Performance Division. Courtney is passionate about empowering people through the arts, and fostering safe spaces for students of all ages to be authentic. Courtney is proud to be a forever student and enjoys studying and educating her staff in vocal pedagogy. Courtney's education started as a voice major at MUN School of Music under the guidance of Dr. Schiller and Shelley Neville, and continued under Meghan Herder (2011-2014) and Dr. Shannon Coates (2020-Present). As a local entertainer and actress, Courtney's favourite past theatre credits include: Ariel in Footloose (2012), Jane in Tarzan (2014), and Sherrie in Rock of Ages (2015). Calyssa Squires
INSTRUCTOR OF OPEN PERFORMANCE; PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR OF VOICE, PIANO, & BEGINNER GUITAR & UKULELE. Calyssa is the lead of the Open Performance program, and has participated and planned every show with Courtney since CFPA was founded. leah downey
BROADWAY CLASS CO-INSTRUCTOR. Leah has studied piano since the age of 3, and voice since the age of 8. She joined the Mount Pearl Show Choir when she was 12, and has travelled to countries such as Japan, Russia, Amsterdam, Austria and Sweden performing choral music. She was a featured soloist in the World Peace Choral Festival in Vienna, performing among the Vienna Boys Choir. Most recently, she was a part of a resident choir in Worcester, England at the Worcester Cathedral. She has also performed in Etcetera’s 25-32 as a choir member, and has since then graduated to a member of the Etcetera band as a pianist and percussionist. Click to read more about Leah.
Molly O'Keefe
APPRENTICE PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR OF VOICE. Molly has loved music from a very young age. Singing and performing in any and every way has always been her most favourite thing. She graduated from the Music For Young Children program and soon began to learn any instrument she could get her hands on. By joining CFPA, Molly has found a group of people who see music the exact same way she does. An escape, a tool, a way to found community and togetherness. Morgan Squibb
CLASS INSTRUCTOR OF POP. Morgan is a high honours graduate of Sheridan Performing Arts Prep program. She discovered CFPA in 2019, and joining the family rekindled her life-long passion of performing. After several years of being a student, she is stepping into the role of Apprentice Teacher. Morgan is thrilled to be taking on this new role, and cannot wait to support and encourage aspiring young singers, the way that CFPA has been supporting her over the past several years! natalie tobin
DANCE CHORUS CHOREOGRAPHER; PRIVATE DANCE INSTRUCTOR. Natalie has been working at CFPA as a dance teacher for the Advanced Performance and Drama classes since September of 2019. Natalie offers one on one private dance coaching. Having trained in numerous styles, she brings her experience to every student she works with, adapting her routines to be inclusive to individual abilities and strengths. Natalie is so proud of all the work the students have put in this year and is excited to continue dancing with CFPA.
Sarah Knight
PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR OF VOICE AND PIANO. Sarah is a recent graduate of the Memorial University's Bachelor of Music program, and the proud co-owner of Royal Avalon Parties. Her life-long passion for music led her to a plethora of training through the years, and to open her own business, Sarah's Stars, active from 2017-2021! The group performed in the Kiwanis Music Festival, held fundraisers and summer camps, and put off various productions, such as Beauty and the Beast Jr! Aside from owning the business and directing their numerous endeavours, Sarah has an extensive performance history, and adores performing as beloved princesses with Royal Avalon Parties. Sarah Newell
PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR OF VOICE, PIANO & GUITAR. Sarah is a musician originally from Corner Brook, and an alumnus of Memorial University's Music, and Musical Education programs. She keeps incredibly busy through her professional life, teaching music and choir in her elementary school class, working with MusicNL, and is the in-stand host for the Newfoundland Growlers. In her free time, she is currently the co-lead vocalist and saxophonist for the band, With Violet. She can't wait to start teaching in the fall! Click here to read more about Sarah.
Sophie Rowe
DANCE INSTRUCTOR. Sophie Rowe is a student at Memorial University born and raised in St. John's, and has been performing for most of her life. She is experience in many different styles of dance, such as modern, jazz, musical theatre, and more. Aside from dancing, she is no stranger to the stage, performing with multiple Etcetera Productions in musicals like Cats and Godspell. She was also a part of the Mount Pearl Show Choir and has performed all over the world.
