CFPA's most popular program > Sing, Dance, Act... & More!
​Students collaborate to produce 30 minute musical medleys in Songs From Broadway 7 (SFB7). Students play a lead role and an ensemble role in multiple shows. Students are responsible for memorizing lyrics, spoken lines, choreography, blocking, costume changes, knowing their cues, moving sets, and successfully performing two roles in a musical. Enjoy a group ensemble experience, or elevate your performance journey by performing a lead or dance chorus role.

POP PERFORMANCE

 Sing and dance to Top 40 hits - exactly what's on the radio now! Perform live. Learn the choreography. Record the vocals. Design and star in a music video. ​

ACTING & PRODUCTION DIVISION

ACTING, PRODUCING, DIRECTING, PLAYWRIGHTING, TECHNICAL PRODUCTION: Students collaborate to write, produce, design, direct and act in their own original short films. Students work to build an audition portfolio, gain experience by performing live theatre and improv, studying improv and learning how to develop characters, suspenseful storylines, and how to honestly and authentically collaborate to make performance art. Students have the option to select their favourite skill and work to master it.​

​LESSON CENTRE

Private Lessons:  Directed by an experienced instructor in their field, students will receive weekly one on one instruction, or purchase a 4 or 8 lesson pass.
Group Lessons:  Students can choose how they want to learn an instrument and experience music, gain peer support and learning, enjoy performance and recording opportunities, work on collaborative projects and attend the CFPA Academy Awards Night. 

PETE & CFPA COLLAB

PETE is a working studio engineer, musician, and producer. Pete obtained his degree in Music Production from Berklee College of music where he intensely studied the art of recording. He has worked in studios across Canada and the U.S., engineered 8 studio albums, countless singles, and has worked in audio for TV and radio promotion. Currently Pete operates his recording studio, 14 CLYDE AVENUE, in Mount Pearl and is excited to be teaching the following courses for youth and adults at CFPA this fall:
Recording Basics: Recording basics is an intense 15 week course that prepares you to work in any recording studio around the globe. Take your basement recording studio to the next level or just turn your dream into reality. 
Mixing Basics: Mixing Basics takes you over every aspect of the mixing world in a beginner friendly manner & shine up your engineering skills. 
Developing Your Artistry: Take a look into the philosophical aspects of being an artist, converse with classmates about your craft, and make some self defining choices.

  • A membership opportunity for students to take multiple classes at discounted prices.
  • Memberships are currently under review, as the CFPA team would like to ensure that there are affordable options for all families.
  • 10 month payment plans may be extended to 12 months to create cheaper monthly payment options.
  • There will no longer be a 30 day withdrawal period. Termination can be immediate!
  • There will no longer be any hidden fees! All payment plans are inclusive: parents will no longer have to pay registration or costume fees.
  • Tickets to performances are the only additional cost to this program. Parent volunteers also receive free complimentary tickets to shows--hint, hint. ;)
