Hello CFPA friends and family, and welcome to Tick…Tick…NEWS!, a new space for me, CFPA student and employee Heather Power, to deliver all the latest scoops of Broadway to your screens. From show announcements to music vibes to casting thrills, I’m gonna do my best to bring you the news. Now get comfortable! We have a variety of things happening at CFPA this week!

All students can wear their Halloween costumes to lessons or class this week from October 25 to October 31st. 

​The only exception to this rule: PERFORMANCE CLASSES. See below:

In each performance class, this week will look like:

• The first 45 minutes of class will be spent decorating, practicing and preparing for the haunted house walking tour. 
• Each student is allowed to invite a + 1 guest of their choice. This can be a parent or a friend.
• Students provide their own decorations and costumes for the rooms they have created.
• If a student requires something for a room that they are unable to obtain on their own, you may email cfperformanceacademy@gmail.com to ask if it is possible for CFPA to provide. We may have some things on hand. Please include student name & class time/slot.

Information for Guests

• All guests wear a mask and maintain physical distance from other guests and actors.
•  Those of vaccination age must provide an ID/Vax Pass to enter the building.
• Guests will be allowed to enter during the last 45 minutes of class time.
• A volunteer will stay on the front door to check passes and allow entry.
• Guests may enter one at a time, or bubble at a time (if a student's +1 is bubbled with another student's +1; for example, if two parents are in a mutual pre-existing bubble and have children attending the same class). Max bubble: 4 people.
• Please do not touch decorations.
• Guests will enter through the main entrance point of the CFPA studio, and exit the walking tour at the rear of the building, through the warehouse exit door. Their tour guide will walk them back up to the front entrance. 

Our APD Students have created spooky haunted rooms in class with the intention some students would love the opportunity to have their room featured in our event on Friday, October 29th. Please click the link above to sign up. All groups must have a functional team to be featured. You will receive a confirmation email by Wednesday night. This will determine the rooms that will be featured in our studio tour!

​1. Students can wear their costumes to the studio the week of October 25-31st.

2. CFPA's first interactive HAUNTED HOUSE Walking Tour launches on October 29th from 6:30 to 8:30pm. This event has been produced by CFPA students! The Pre-Professional Acting/Directing/Producing Class brings this event to us to enjoy! $10 admission for families/groups, or $5 single admission. Event includes: performances by the CFPA Broadway Performance Division, Film and Acting students, Public Halloween Costume Contest, and Open Mic, open to all ages. We would love for you to attend, get dressed up, meet the teachers, bring a friend and give the students an audience to spook!

3. Students will be preparing "rooms" of the Haunted House in their performances classes, open to spectators the week prior to Halloween. Performances from these classes will be added to the Haunted House tour on October 29th.

Lessons and classes will be going ahead on Monday, October 11th.

​CFPA has been given the opportunity of singing at the Paradise Tree Lighting Ceremony and Paradise Parade this year. These are simply expressions of interest to see if we will proceed with these opportunities. Only select an option if you are confident you can commit. Once we compile all the names, we will follow up based on interest on how we will proceed (ex. We may decide to do one of these with a class as a project or take an alternate route such as auditons).

Just a reminder that CFPA will be observing this holiday and there will be no lessons on this day.
