 Morgan Squibb

Biography

Morgan has been performing for years, with a focus in musical theatre. She found her love for music in Jr. High, and began taking private singing lessons, as well as modern & jazz dance lessons. She participated in choir, school musicals, open mic’s, and learned to play guitar & ukulele.

In high school Morgan was one of the selected winners of the International “Acuvue One Day Contest”, where she submitted a 1 minute video talking about her passion and dream to be on Broadway. This led her to a mentorship experience with the touring cast of Les Miserables, including private coaching, and an invite to perform with the ensemble during a matinee show in LA. A few months later she attended the Teen Choice Awards alongside Disney star Sterling Knight. In the years following this experience Morgan went on to represent the brand in two national commercials, two webisode videos, and was involved in promo material for Demi Lovato’s Acuvue sponsored tour.

After high school Morgan moved to Oakville, Ontario to attend the Performing Arts Prep program at Sheridan College. Throughout this program she studied acting, improv, ballet, tap, voice, audition techniques, and theatre tech. She made so many new friends & thrived in the theatre community. She went on to be cast as Molly in their year end production of Peter & the Starcatcher. As well as acting she worked on costumes, props, program design, & some scene direction. She graduated from Sheridan with high honours and returned home to Newfoundland. Shortly after moving home Morgan found two other passions; teaching children, and floral design! She began teaching kids cooking classes & birthday parties at a local cooking school, and took a job working with flowers. Since then she has attended the Canadian Institute of Floral Design & is a full-time florist.

In 2019 Morgan found CFPA, and rekindled her love for performing onstage in Songs From Broadway 4 as Elphaba. Since then she has performed as Dianne in SFB 5, and Alyssa in SFB 6. Her most recent training includes two masterclasses singing for Tony Nominated Eva Noblezada.

She is so grateful to now be a part of the team that has been so supportive over the past few years, and she can’t wait to help support other young singers! Morgan believes that every child has it in them to sing and use music as a form of expression. Whether it be in a lesson, on a stage, alone in your room, or in the car, singing is an inherently human way to express ourselves. She is beyond excited to be able to help students learn how to be themselves and be comfortable using their voice!
