how we are working to keep you safe
1. Hand sanitizer at entrance for each client. Teachers will reminder students as they enter the building.
2. Drop Off & Pick Up: Teacher will meet parent/student at entrance. Parents are to drop students off at the door to limit exposure for all staff/students. Parents will wait outside to give our traveling students more space. Students under 5 must be accompanied by a parent. Students will be given 5 minutes to enter the building and settle before class, and 10 minutes to exit the building after class. Students will exit the studio promptly after each lesson to eliminate contact with next client.
3. Lessons must start and end on time to ensure protocols are followed.
4. Mask etiquette: All staff and students will wear a mask when social distancing is not possible.
5. Cleaning: Studio frequently touched surfaces to be sanitized daily between classes and lesson. Teachers are responsible for sanitizing their classrooms between lessons. Each teacher has 10-30 mins (depending on class size) between lessons to disinfect and be present for drop off/pick up.
6. No food inside studio: Exceptions may be made for volunteers, staff, or students with a medical reason.
7. Student belongings: Water bottles and all student belongings must fit inside a book bag, and every item marked clearly with students name. Please do not bring unnecessary items into class - if you require a water break, please ask your teacher and you will be permitted to step outside. Belongings that are left in the studio will be discarded at the end of the day.
10. COVID-19 waiver: All parents must sign to acknowledge the risk associated with participating in extra curricular activities during a global pandemic. Link is here: https://forms.gle/UP2iTcoYPcbGMHah7
11. Reduced class sizes and an upgraded new location to a bigger space to give students more room to social distance in a fun way.
12. Contact tracing: Teachers to take attendance during every class.
14. Shoes and Clothing Requirements: Foam mats will be used in the classroom to visualize 6x6 squares by colour, so we ask for sock feet or soft dance shoes in class! In class: Wear comfortable, easy to move in clothes. In Performance: all black base.

- It is necessary for students to wear a non-medical mask indoors, walking to and from class. Masks can be removed once 6 feet of distance is maintained. All classrooms have floor markings to indicate 6 feet of separation.
- All staff will wear a disposable non-surgical 3-ply mask and eye protection, such as a face shield, when two meter physical distancing cannot be maintained.
- Please remind students to give their instructors 6 feet of space at all times and to raise their hand if they require assistance.
- Water bottles and personal items should stay in the students' book bag; the student can request to go to their bag for a drink.
