At CFPA we have developed a strategy for students to borrow costumes from our costume bank in a safe way that protects our students, staff and their families:

Costume Organization

  • Costumes will be organized and distributed by a single employee at Courtney Fowler Performance Academy.
  • This employee will wear a mask, wash their hands before handling costumes, and will package each students costume individually which will sit for 24 hours before they are distributed to a student.​
  • Students eventually will be asked to provide a costume bin for their pieces that they will take with them to the performance venue. It will be labelled with their name, along with each piece of rented clothing.
  • There will be no sharing costumes or any costume pieces.

Costume Distribution

  • Costumes will be distributed by the student's teacher during class time. 
  • During class, the student will try on their costume and, if it fits, will be permitted to take it home. 
  • Both the parent and Courtney Fowler Performance Academy will have record of the costumes that are borrowed from the studio.
  • A costume rental agreement must be signed before each student is permitted to take home their costumes.
  • All pieces that are borrowed must be returned to the studio after the conclusion of the performance.​

Costume Return

  • After the performance, parents are responsible for washing all of their children's costume pieces. Failure to do so will result in a costume cleaning fee of $10.00
  • Costumes must be returned in a single bag with the students name marked clearly on the outside of the bag.
  • All released items must be returned to the studio. Failure to do so will result in a costume replacement fee of $50.00.
  • Returned costumes will be isolated for 14 days before a team will re-catalogue and sort them back into our costume bank.
If you do not feel comfortable with this arrangement- no worries! We can communicate with you on a case-by-case basis to discuss your child's costuming needs for their performance and you can take on that responsibility with them.
