COnnor Fagan

BIOgraphy

Connor is a grade 12 student at Holy Heart. He’s studied acting, voice and various instruments under several teachers since he was 8 years old, and found his way to CFPA in 2019. He completed the AP Music Theory and IB Music courses at Holy Heart in grade 11, expanding his knowledge in music theory, analysis and history. Working with companies like Best Kind Productions, Peter MacDonald Productions, Art of Rao Productions and of course Courtney Fowler Performance Academy, he’s had the privilege of performing in over 15 musicals, and even originated roles in workshops and full productions. In 2018, 2019 and 2020 he received the Lillian Hoddinott award for highest junior (under 18) mark in the Musical Theatre category in the Kiwanis Music Festival, and also received awards in the folk category.

He began teaching at CFPA in 2019 doing summer camps, and has since expanded teaching to voice, drums, piano, ukulele, band, contemporary vocal technique (CVT) and acting classes. He is currently studying voice under Evan Smith, and is in the APD program and CVT with Courtney. He is so grateful to have the opportunity to perform and teach at CFPA, as he plans to continue studying music to become a music teacher after high school. His favourite memories at CFPA would have to be hanging out with all his friends in the APD High School class, using the studio provided recording equipment to record original music, or taking voice lessons with Courtney last year and learning so many new techniques and tips to help him improve. He hopes you’ll come learn with him this fall!

I believe I can encourage students to work hard and feel confident in what they do.
